Regional Stakeholder Groups

Total E&P Canada actively participates in regional stakeholder groups that develop policies and strategies to address some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges. We are a member of, and contributor to, major environmental and socio-economical initiatives in the Athabasca Oil Sands area, including:

  • Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI)
  • Cumulative Environmental Management Association (CEMA)
  • Integrated CO2 Network (ICO2N)
  • Regional Aquatic Monitoring Program (RAMP)
  • Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)
  • Wood Buffalo Environmental Association (WBEA)
  • Canadian Oil Sands Network for Research and Development (CONRAD)
  • Oil Sands Leadership Initiative (OSLI)

Total also supports:

  • the Athabasca All Parties Core Agreement
  • several First Nations industrial relations committees
  • Métis locals in Fort Chipewyan, Fort McKay and Fort McMurray

Total E&P Canada will use all reasonable means, and best commercially available technology, to minimize environmental impacts on the land, air and water.
