Total E&P Canada actively participates in regional stakeholder groups that develop policies and strategies to address some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges. We are a member of, and contributor to, major environmental and socio-economical initiatives in the Athabasca Oil Sands area, including:
- Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI)
- Cumulative Environmental Management Association (CEMA)
- Integrated CO2 Network (ICO2N)
- Regional Aquatic Monitoring Program (RAMP)
- Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP)
- Wood Buffalo Environmental Association (WBEA)
- Canadian Oil Sands Network for Research and Development (CONRAD)
- Oil Sands Leadership Initiative (OSLI)
Total also supports:
- the Athabasca All Parties Core Agreement
- several First Nations industrial relations committees
- Métis locals in Fort Chipewyan, Fort McKay and Fort McMurray
Total E&P Canada will use all reasonable means, and best commercially available technology, to minimize environmental impacts on the land, air and water. |
