The gymnasium is part of a larger building project that includes seven additional classrooms.

Total contributed $1.2 million towards the Calgary bilingual school’s project costs. The gymnasium will allow the school to join the Calgary Independent School Athletic Association and compete with other independent schools.

This partnership enhances the school experience for the students, many of which are children of Total expatriates living in Calgary.

Lycée Louis Pasteurexternal link: opens in new window is an international French school that provides education to children in a bilingual environment.

The curriculum satisfies the requirements of both the French National program and Alberta Learning program of studies.

As such, French students are able to continue in their curriculum program, making it easy for them to integrate back into the France school system when they return home.
