Total E&P Canada Scholarships
Total E&P Canada’s career fairs, student scholarships, and research partnerships give us a strong presence on Canadian campuses and help us recruit and employ high achieving graduates. In 2009, Total invested $45,000 in Canadian scholarships, divided among the following five Universities:
University of Calgary
Schulich School of Engineering: Total E&P Canada Higher Education Undergraduate Award. Two $5,000 scholarships awarded annually.
Awarded to fourth-year undergraduate students in the chemical, petroleum or mechanical engineering programs.
University of British Columbia
Faculty of Applied Science: Total E&P Canada Higher Education Scholarship.Two $5,000 scholarships awarded annually.
These scholarships are intended to support students who are considering the pursuit of a career in the petroleum industry.
McGill University
Total E&P Canada Higher Education Scholarship. Four scholarships awarded annually, valued at $2,500 each.
Awarded by the Faculty of Engineering to undergraduate students in chemical, civil, mechanical, mining or materials engineering.
University of Waterloo
Faculty of Engineering: Total E&P Canada Higher Education Scholarship.Two $5,000 scholarships awarded annually.
Awarded to third and fourth year students in chemical, geological, civil, environmental, mechanical, and mechatronics engineering.
École Polytechnique
Two scholarships awarded annually, valued at $2,500 each.
Awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in the chemical, mechanical or mining engineering programs.
University Research Partnerships
In addition to our scholarships, Total E&P Canada has invested in a number of Canadian university research projects. The research projects contribute to the sustainability of our industry, and also strengthen relationships with academic groups.
Student Internships
Total has an annual commitment to hire students for term positions in a variety of fields (engineering, geosciences, finance, business, and human resources, legal).
Total University
Created in 2005 in Paris, France, Université Total provides a forum for analysis and discussion on issues affecting the future of our businesses. Each year, thousands of employees take part in various programs to further educate themselves about our ethical, environmental and industrial safety responsibilities.
